Principal’s Report

Dear Parents and Community Members,

It is always a pleasure to hear such positive feedback about the warm and welcoming approach of our front office staff. It’s heartening to know that Mrs. Burns, Mrs. Palmer, Mrs. Licari, and Mrs. Williams consistently greet students by name and create a friendly, inviting atmosphere that makes coming to school a positive experience.

We are equally fortunate that this respectful and kind approach is mutual, with students and parents regularly demonstrating thoughtfulness and courtesy in their interactions at the office.

Thank you for contributing to the positive and supportive culture of our school community.

Parking – Early Learning Centre

It has recently come to our attention that there is some confusion regarding the parking arrangements in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) parking area, located in the south-west section of the school grounds.

Please note that this parking area is managed by the Early Learning Centre and is primarily designated for their staff and families. It is also used by the community health nurse who operates out of the centre.

We kindly ask all families and visitors to be mindful of these arrangements to ensure that access remains available for those who need it most.

Canteen Update - EXCITING NEWS!!!!

We are pleased to introduce Aiko Arigore, owner of Harmony Life who will be our new Canteen service provider. Aiko and her team are preparing to open for business.

The canteen will be operating onsite from WEDNESDAY! Watch this space for details about the new menu!

As the canteen will be open from Wednesday, any future orders made with School Lunches Online will need to be cancelled. Please note you must cancel prior to 24 hours to receive a refund.

Enrolments 2026

Enrolments are now open for 2026.  If your child will be 4 years old by 30 June 2026, please apply to enrol them in Kindergarten now. Enrolments close 25 July 2025.

If your child/ren won’t be returning to Ashdale Primary School in 2026, can you please advise the office by email    ashdale.ps.enrolments@education.wa.edu.au

School Voluntary Contributions (including P & C Contribution)

Have you paid the voluntary contribution $60/student and P & C Levy $40/family?

This week the Reminder of Outstanding Payments form was sent home with your child if any payments were outstanding.

We encourage payments via the Qkr! app – this is a very simple and quick process and alleviates the need for busy parents to come into the office or send money in with students.

Instructions on how to download the App are available on our website from the link below or see the Qkr! Tip article below.

• Remember to change the profile (year, LAs etc) for your children when first accessing Qkr! for the year
• Alternative payment methods (cash/eftpos/credit card) are available through the front office.
• Families may pay the Voluntary Contribution in instalments.

The City of Wanneroo and Ashdale Primary are thrilled to introduce our inaugural “Dress Up Your Bike” Day, taking place on the first Friday of Term Three. Begin gathering ideas and planning how you can transform your bike!

Are you pedaling to school on your dragon? 

Or maybe your bike resembles a train, car or a motorbike? Could it be a sparkling unicorn? 

Get imaginative, embellish your bike and showcase it during the lunchtime parade on July 27. An exciting prize awaits the best-dressed bike!

We welcome you to join us at our upcoming P&C meeting on Tuesday 10th June from 7-8pm in the staffroom. We love to see new faces and it’s a great opportunity to get to know our school community!
